Steps to control traffic initiated in Madanapalle

MADANAPALLE: Several measures pertaining to control of traffic as well as security in the town have been announced by DIG of police Jayarami Reddy.

Addressing a press conference her on Wednesday Mr. Jayarami Reddy said that all traffic police station have been appraised of the new measures.

Home guards are instructed to be in white uniform with helmet and reflectors so as to be easily recognised by the public as traffic controllers.

After Tirupati, Madanapalle has about 25 home guards. Sufficient measures would be initiated to control crime. At Tirumala foolproof security would be provided in view of the Brahmotsavams.

The old police station building near Sri Prasanna Venkataramanaswamy temple in Madanapalle would be renovated and utilised for the purpose of controlling traffic and crime. He instructed the local police officials to take stringent measures against eve teasers and book cases if need be.
