Rajgarh: At least one person was killed and 40 others injured in a clash between two groups over a dispute over panchayat elections at Khajuria village near here, police said on Wednesday. Members of both the groups attacked each other with sharp-edged weapons and opened fire from country-made guns, killing one person last night, Superintendent of Police D. K. Arya said. As many as 40 persons were injured and rushed to a hospital in Bhopal, he said adding the deceased was identified as Ramprasad Dangi. Cases were registered against members of both the groups, who are yet to be arrested.
