On the set: Shooting of ‘Mortuary of Love.’
Odessa Movies which has been making films with people’s participation has launched its fourth venture. Titled “Mortuary of Love,” the film is about love and lust, says C.V. Sathyan, director and script-writer of the film. The film will have a multiple perspective of its main themes from the point of view of priesthood, group politics, government, Mr. Sathyan says. “Amma Ariyan” directed by John Abraham, “ Ithrayum Yatha Bhagam” (on the life of Malayalam poet Ayyappan) and “Vettaydappetta manassu” (on the circumstances that led to the death of Naxalite Varghese in the forest in Wayanad) were recent films of Odessa Movies that were produced with people’s participation. The donation drive for “Mortuary of Love” was inaugurated by poet and communist Koothattukulam Mary with a contribution of Rs.10,000 towards the cost of production. Four days of shooting were held in Kozhikode, Koilandy, Vadakara and Thalassery. The among the actors of the movie is Brazilian theatre artist Ricardo. R. Madhavan Nair
