Teachers’ Day is also an occasion for former teachers to get together and walk down memory lane. ‘Guruvandanam’ organised by Calicut Medical College, in connection with its golden jubilee celebrations, on Teachers’ Day to honour its old teachers provided just the right opportunity. The likes of Dr. C.K. Ramachandran, Dr. K. Madhavankutty, Dr. K.N. Pillai and Dr. Jayaram Panicker graced the occasion. They shared their experiences at great institution during the last 50 years. At the Government Girls VHSS at Nadakkavu too, former and current teachers met to exchange pleasantries. The school has been organising Teachers’ Day for the last nine years.
