Piracy problems again

The piracy virus is causing problems to the Malayalam film industry. Alarmed by the impact of illegal versions, producers are planning to release movies in as many theatres as possible.

But the exhibitors in lead centres seem to be not supportive of the move. They say that collections in their centres might go down if the number of release centres are increased. Producers say that returns will go up (especially during the first week) once a movie is released in more number of theatres. A rift between producers and exhibitors seems to be growing over this issue.
