Killed in accident

VILLUPURAM: One woman died and 28 others were injured when a transport corporation bus met with an accident at Inthali near Kallakurichi early on Thursday. The bus was on its way from Salem to Chennai. After colliding with an oncoming lorry, the bus came to a halt by hitting a roadside tamarind tree. In the impact R. Meghala (27) of Vazhapadi died on the spot, and 28 others, including the bus crew, sustained injuries.
