Five killed in landslips

Pithoragah: Five persons were killed and nine others were feared dead in landslides following heavy rains at Baram village in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district on Thursday.

The landslides occurred following heavy rains in the area that swept away three houses perched on the peaks of Baram area, burying 14 of them in the debris, Superintendent of Police, Pithoragarh, Puran Singh Rawat told PTI.
