THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has earned an additional income of Rs.1.61 crore between August 10 and 31 after parallel services were banned in the city, Transport Minister Mathew T. Thomas has said. Mr. Thomas told the Assembly on Thursday that 15 buses had already been introduced to mitigate the woes of commuters. More buses would be introduced soon. Water Resources Minister N.K. Premachandran said that 229 MLD water was being distributed by the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) in the city against the demand for 260 MLD. New drainage connections were being given after conducting a sewer line feasibility inspection. A new system to provide water connections in a week had been introduced in the capital.
