Sri Lankan Airlines to have more flights

BANGALORE: In an effort to boost tourism in the island country, the Sri Lankan Airlines will increase the number of flights to India as well as other destinations from next month.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, Manoj Gunawardena, the head of Worldwide Passenger Sales of Sri Lankan Airlines, said that the number of flights to 10 destinations in India would be increased to 100 from 95 at present, from October. He said the airline is planning to connect a Tier-II city in India that would increase the number of destinations to 11. The airlines was also looking at expanding its operations to more Tier-II cities in India in future.
