KURIANOOR: Favourite KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram trounced Assumption College, Changanassery 50-15 in a women’s league match of the 8th Maxtulin Champions Trophy basketball tournament at the St. Thomas floodlit court here on Thursday. S.S. Anjana led the scoring for KSEB with 10 points and was well supported by Sini Jose and Likhitha (eight points each). The winner led 26-11 at half-time. On Wednesday night, Assumption had beaten SAI, Thrissur 42-24. In the men’s section, BSNL warmed up for tougher matches with an easy 43-28 win over SAI, Kozhikode.
