KOCHI: Kochi’s new synthetic track gets into action on Friday, with the 51st Kerala State senior athletic championship at the Maharajas College Stadium.
“Expect a lot of records, the track is very fast,” said Tony Daniel, the seasoned State athletics official.
There should be a big crowd too, for the State junior inter-club meet will be held simultaneously and nearly
1,500 athletes will be seen in action.
Internationals S. Arunjith, P.S. Sreejith and Tintu Luka are some of the prominent athletes who will figure in the three-day event. — Principal Correspondent
