Goats poisoned to death

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Forty-two goats were poisoned to death by a farm owner for damaging his field near Vembakottai here on Wednesday. The goats belonged to A. Thangaraj (37) of Vijaykarisalkulam. The farm owners, G. Subbiah, and his brothers Narayanan and Armugasamy, had left rice laced with poison on Wednesday evening. The goat started dying one by one after eating it.
