TIRUNELVELI: With the objective of creating a forum to facilitate innovative teaching methods— learning methodologies and continuous self-improvement — the ‘Faculty Club of Tirunelveli (FACT)’ has been formed at Palayamkottai.
The Vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Cynthia Pandian, inaugurated the club at a function held on the premises of St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, on Thursday.
A total of 274 professors and lecturers from the colleges in and around Tirunelveli and Tiruchendur have joined the club.
The forum is expected to provide a platform for sharing academic knowledge and experience, information and ideas pertaining to higher studies and research projects, updating latest trends and techniques with regard to the domain subjects, organising series of domain-related guest lectures, collaborative utilization of resources for value addition, collaborative organisation of national and State- level seminars and conferences, and organising faculty development workshops at regular intervals.
