Setting an example

It was indeed a situation which warranted the elected representative to wield the broom stick. And that speaks volumes of the functioning of the Government. When Himayatnagar legislator G. Kishen Reddy went to visit a Government school in Amberpet on Teacher’s Day, he was aghast to see the dirty conditions in the school.

Instead of asking the officials to get the school cleaned, the legislator got down to business. He began sweeping the school and it took quite sometime for him to clean the rooms. Kishen Reddy, who maintained that he was spending money on his own by employing some sweepers to clean the school, lamented that the authorities were not even managing to use the private employees.
