Box office blues

‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’, a remake of the blockbuster ‘Sholay’ bombed at the box office, despite a publicity blitzkrieg unleashed by the producer. Even a veteran like Amitabh Bachchan too drew flak for his action and his poor imitation of the legendary role of Gabbar Singh.

If this remake turned out to be an utter flop, another remake of an old Hindi movie ‘Victoria No 203’ is doing well minus the hoopla what was seen with RGV’s movie.

Moviegoers seemed to have sent the message across very effectively that no amount of publicity would make a film a success, unless it has some stuff in it.
