For violating rules: Municipal and revenue authorities removing an unauthorised hoarding in Tirupur on Tuesday.
TIRUPUR: The revenue and municipal authorities on Tuesday launched a drive
to remove unauthorised hoardings in the town following the recent Government
directive.
On the first day the officials led by Municipal Commissioner M. Ashokan and
Tahsildar A. Siddique removed nine hoardings put up without proper permission from the authorities.
Maintaining that the drive would continue for sometime, Mr. Ashokan said that nearly 50 out of 153 hoardings that have been found unauthorised would be removed. This exercise was being carried out to beautify the town.
