PUDUCHERRY: Led by secretary of the Communist Party of India here N. Kalainathan, party activists staged a demonstration outside the Government Hospital on Thursday protesting against the alleged “negligence on the part of some medical personnel”. This had resulted in the death of a construction worker who was undergoing treatment for renal ailment. Close on the heels of the protest, the Grand Bazaar Police have registered a case against Dr. Murugesan, a visiting specialist, under Section 304A (causing death by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide).
