NEW DELHI: World champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu shot 118 out of 125 and finished 36th from among 145 shooters in trap in the World shotgun championship at Nicosia, Cyprus, on Thursday. The other Indians in the fray, Zoravar Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh, finished 37th and 69th respectively with scores of 118 and 115.
Former world and Olympic champion, Michael Diamond won the gold with a final world record of 148 in a high scoring competition in which all the six finalists had shot a minimum of 123 out of 125.
Arti Singh was 33rd in women’s skeet (64/75), following rounds of 23, 21 and 20.
