dated September 8, 1957: Renaming of Delhi roads

Proposals for Indianisation of names of some more roads in Delhi and New Delhi have been made, Mr. Karmarkar, Health Minister, told the Lok Sabha on September 6. In the New Delhi area, Ibbetson Road is proposed to be changed to Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, King’s Way Road to Lok Path, Magazine Road to Tantia Topi Marg, Metcalf House Road to Indraprastha Marg and Flagstaff Road to Dharwaja Marg.
