Promising start

This has reference to the editorial, “Promising start” (Sept. 7), on the government’s response to the recommendations of the Rajinder Sachar Committee. Besides creating an Equal Opportunity Commission and a diversity index, it should implement the other recommendations too to bring Muslims on a par with the socially and economically advanced communities.

T. Anand,

Chennai

Mandi Habibur Rahmnan,

Vellore
