Divisive move

The Centre’s directive to the State governments to ensure the posting of Muslim policemen, teachers and health personnel in areas with large minority populations is suicidal for the secular spirit and integrity of the nation. Such moves will divide the people permanently on religious lines. The very concept of the Sachar Committee is wrong. Those who thought of it had only votes in mind, not the welfare of the downtrodden. The present move will further alienate Muslims.
