A sentence in “Collector, police review security as pilgrims throng Velankanni” (Tamil Nadu edition–Tiruchirapalli, September 7, 2007, page 3, and the Internet edition) was: “High mass in Tamil, Marathi, English, Konkani, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindu are also being conducted in the Basilica from morning till evening and Holy mass in Tamil at Our Lady’s Tank early in the morning during the festival days.” “Hindu” should have bee n “Hindi”.

The expansion of ICAR is the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and not the Indian Council for Agricultural Research, as was published in a report “ICAR identifies wheat varieties” (Delhi, September 7, 2007, page 9).

A report “Minister conducts surprise check at Krishnagiri GH” (Tamil Nadu, September 7, 2007) said that the Tamil Nadu Health Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran conducted the check at the Krishnagiri hospital on Wednesday, while according to the caption of the accompanying photograph the Minister was at the Dharmapuri Government Hospital on Wednesday. It was an editing error. The Minister visited the Dharmapuri hospital on Thursday. The wrong photograph was used with the story and the day changed.
