Teacher hit with pistol in exam hall

ALLAHABAD: A student of a degree college here on Friday hit his teacher with the butt of a pistol upon being scolded for using unfair means in an examination, police said.

The incident took place at Ishwar Sharan Degree College in the city, where the student, Pankaj, was writing the supplementary examinations for BA Part-I.

He was caught cheating by teacher Rajesh Verma who snatched Pankaj’s answer script, reprimanded him for the malpractice and asked him to get out of the examination hall. — PTI
