Sangareddy: Security has been beefed up in Medak district headquarters for the visit of the Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday following the attempted murderous attack on former Chief Minister in Nellore district. The District Collector B. Venkatesam and Superintendent of Police R. B. Nayak reviewed the security arrangements in view of changed threat perception. They held a meeting with the officers and the organizers and briefed the stringent measures to be taken during the one hour along visit of the Chief Minister. The Collector, SP and the local legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy visited both the sites that the Chief Minister would be visiting on Sunday. Later speaking to the reporters the SP said that 500 strong police force would be deployed for Bandobast that day and a DSP each would man one of the spot the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit.
As per the press release, the Chief Minister would reach here by helicopter at 9.30 a.m and lay foundation for Indira Bhavan, the district head quarters for Indian National Congress here.
