Pizza Hut, Subway outlets sealed

HYDERABAD: A couple of multi-national food outlets were among the 16 business establishments sealed for lack of proper parking provisions on Friday. On the fifth day of the GHMC’s drive Pizza Corner and Subway were closed as also and a super market.

Those which were shut down are: Laxmi Lodge, Narayanaguda; Badshah Multicuisine Restaurant, RTC Crossroads; Swaraj Bar & Restaurant, Chikkadpally; Swaraj Lodge & Tiffin Centre, Chikkadpally; Zaithoon Bar & Restaurant, Humayunagar; Anupama Restaurant, Ameerpet.

Nice Restaurant, S.R. Nagar; Spencers Super Market, Somajiguda; Hotel Natraj, Abids; Majestic Corner, Ramkoti Crossroads; Hotel Akbar Darbar, Abids; Sohan Lal Tea Time, Abids; Rangoli ice-cream, near Hanuman Vyamshala; Sri Devi Bar (Amrutha Bar & Restaurant), Abids, Pizza Corner, S.P. Road and Sub Way Restaurant, S.P. Road, Rasoolpura.

Over 25 hotels

In all, the civic body had closed about more than 25 hotels and other establishments and had received 59 replies from various trades since Monday. An action taken report was also submitted to the High Court on the issue today and it is expected to come for hearing on Monday next. GHMC is also said to have informed that a high powered committee headed by the Commissioner and Special Officer C.V.S.K. Sarma and consisting of officials drawn from various departments like Power, Water, Police, Transport and others has been formed to look into the traffic related issues.
