Castro slams Bush on climate

Havana: An essay signed by Cuban leader Fidel Castro has criticised U.S. President George W Bush for asking Asia-Pacific leaders to cooperate in a framework on climate change .

Mr. Castro wrote that the U.S. and Australia, the host of this week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, never signed the Kyoto Protocol and their proposal could undermine efforts to create a successor to the agreement. — AP
