KOCHI: The construction of the proposed mini fishing harbour at Chellanam will start in January next year, Fisheries Minster S. Sarma has said. He made the declaration during his visit to the project site on Saturday. He said Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan would lay the foundation stone of the harbour in the first week of January. Mr. Sarma said the tender process for the construction would be completed in three weeks’ time. An amount of Rs.5 crore out of the estimated Rs.10 crore would be given from the tsunami relief fund. Central assistance had been sought for the rest, the Minister said.
