Presentation of memorial award today

VISAKHAPATNAM: The third annual Sudhir Memorial Award for engineering students in GITAM will be presented on Monday at Dr. Ambedkar Seminar Hall in the college.

The award was instituted in 2005 in memory of Sudhir, a student of GITAM, who lost his life in an accident in the US in 2004.

The award was instituted by his batch mates (1995- 99) and this year it will be given by his friend S. Chiranjeevi of Ubinetics Corporation, Bangalore.

A cash award of Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000 will be given to the first and second rankers of final year B. Tech. from the stream of electronics and communication in the college.

Mr. Chiranjeevi will also deliver a lecture on wireless networks and challenges.
