JAIPUR: Noted Jaipur-based paediatrician Ashok Gupta has been nominated to represent the Asia Pacific region in the International Paediatric Chairs Association (IPCA), a prestigious global body representing paediatric leaders. Dr. Gupta, Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Sawai Man Singh Medical College here, was nominated at the IPCA’s administrative meeting that was held in Athens, Greece, early this month to constitute the new governing council. He will be one of the six representatives acting for different geographical regions of the world. IPCA membership

Dr. Gupta, who is also president of the International Society of Tropical Paediatrics, said here on Sunday that academic leaders in paediatrics were functioning with partners in IPCA to advance the health of children and youth through fostering of excellence in education, research and clinical practices.
