JD(S) State unit chief quits party

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A. Neelalohitadasan Nadar, former Minister and State president of the Janata Dal (Secular) led by the former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda, has resigned from the party.

The State general secretary of the party, K. Hareendranath, said in a statement that the party had accepted the resignation of Mr. Nadar, who intended to join the Bahujan Samaj Party.
