Double murder: one held

CUTTACK: The police on Saturday produced Azmal Sheikh, 25, of Murshidabad district in the neighbouring West Bengal in connection with the double murder case of August 24. A team arrested Sheikh on Thursday at his native place with the help of the local police and was brought to Cuttack on Friday, sources said. Azmal, a mason, during interrogation reportedly confessed to the crime. Certain differences over payment led to the murders, said investigating officer P.K. Jena. “We are now looking for the labour contractor who allegedly mastermind the murder of Arun Kumar Kar and his wife Henna,” he said.
