DAVANGERE: Going by the recent statements of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and his father and Janata Dal(Secular) president H.D. Deve Gowda, handing over of power to the BJP is doubtful Mallikarjun Kharge, president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, has said. He was speaking to presspersons here on Sunday. According to him, Mr. Gowda had said that the BJP did not stick to the pact between the two parties. Mr. Kharge said that Mr. Kumaraswamy and Janata Dal(Secular) State unit president Merajuddin Patel said that the high command of their party alone could take a decision on the transfer of power to the BJP. This proved beyond a doubt that Janata Dal(Secular)would not hand over power to the BJP, he added. Mr. Kharge alleged that Mr. Kumaraswamy and Mr. Yediyurappa had laid foundation stones for various projects which had not been proposed in the previous budget. The budget outlay was Rs. 30,000 crore whereas Mr. Kumaraswamy and Mr. Yediurappa had laid foundation stones for projects running into Rs. 60,000 crores. He said that one third of the amount had to be shown in the budgetary proposals for any work to be carried out in the year and administrative approval had to be obtained.
