MLA’s plea

Correspondent

CHAMARAJANAGAR: President of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha and Chamarajanagar MLA Vatal Nagaraj has urged the Government to declare Chamarajanagar district as drought hit.

He was speaking after inaugurating the gram panchayat and business complex buildings at Mangala village in the taluk on Sunday.

Mr. Nagaraj urged the Government to send a team of experts to estimate the loss of crops.

Although the Government had promised loan waiver, no steps had been taken in this regard.
