NEW DELHI: The former Punjab Director-General of Police, S.S. The Punjab police registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Mr. Virk on Saturday following preliminary investigations. A senior IPS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, Mr. Virk was removed from the post of DGP before the Assembly elections earlier this year. PTI reports: Mr. Virk was hospitalised in Mohali hours after he was arrested.
