Chennai: Thenindhiya Nadigar Sangam president Sarath Kumar, who had submitted his resignation from the association a few days ago, has agreed to continue in his post.
The executive committee of the association held a special meeting on Sunday and turned down the actor’s resignation. Sarath Kumar told the committee that he wanted to resign as he had started a political party, Akila Indhiya Samathuva Makkal Katchi. However, he consented to serve as the association’s president based on the committee’s request. He said he would fulfil his duties during his tenure, which ends in about two years.
