Call to bring Malabar under Homoeopathy Act

Talk held on homoeopathy in cancer treatment

Kochi: Homoepaths have disapproved of the Government’s move to recognise all unqualified practitioners of homeopathy after the Homoeopathy Central Council Act 1973 came into existence.

The leaders of the Institution of Homoeopaths Kerala (IHK) made this remark at the 62nd scientific seminar held on Sunday.

Malabar area should also be brought under the Central Council Homoeopathy Act, they said.

They also sought the introduction of a comprehensive Medical Bill in the Assembly.

The seminar was inaugurated by Justice K.T. Sankaran. At the scientific session, the main address was on homoeopathy treatment for cancer by Dr. Ajay Kumar Babu of the Surgery Department of Homoeopathy Medical College, Kozhikode.

IHK State general secretary Dr. S. Manilal, treasurer Dr. B. Suresh, district president Dr. Rama Devi Ambady and organising committee chairman Dr. K.V. Shine also spoke on the occasion.
