Chain-snatchers arrested

CHENNAI: Police have arrested and remanded to judicial custody three men on charges of chain-snatching. According to a press release, the three men who came on a motorbike on Kazhikundram Road, snatched a three-sovereign gold chain from a 38-year-old woman’s neck.

Based on a complaint from the woman, the police arrested Mankandan (26) of Koyambedu and Vigneshwaran (22) and Ponraj (24) of Taramani, said a release.
