HYDERABAD: A brace by winger Azeem helped South Central Railway record an emphatic 4-0 win over City College Old Boys in the SAAP premier league prize money football tournament here on Sunday. Azeem struck in the eighth and ninth minutes, while Vijay was on target in the 16th minute to give SCR a 3-0 lead at the break. M. Laxman Rao of West Godavari and K. Narayanamma of Visakhapatnam won the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the senior inter-district tennikoit championship. Laxman Rao defeated N. Rakesh (Hyderabad) 22-20, 21-22, 22-20 in the men’s final, while Narayanamma got the better of Sameera Begum (Hyderabad) 18-21, 21-15, 21-10 in the women’s final.
