Hyderabad: The ride back home turned disastrous for a family whose car was smashed beneath one of the iron scaffoldings. M.A. Majid, an engineer was driving his father, Dr. Salim and a two-year-old girl, Ifra Fatima back home after meeting their relatives. Majid took the connecting road from Punjagutta crossroads towards Nagarjuna circle when the signal tuned green.
The scaffolding collapsed on the ‘Wagon R’ that Majid was driving and it was the first car in line to have been crushed. Tense relatives of Majid and Mohammed Aziz Ahmed, came to the site. It took about three hours for the main crane to arrive at the spot and till late in the night Mr. Ahmed was still anxiously waiting for some miracle.
