Six held for hunting wild cats

VANIYAMBADI: Officials of the Forest department have arrested six persons for hunting wild cats at a reserved forest area at Alangayam near here on Sunday.

Forest officials said they have seized two country made pistols from them.

They were identified as Shankar (41) and Venkatesan (45) both from Nimmayampattu in Vaniyambadi, Mani (35) of Kuvalkuttai, Tirupathy (35), Mahendran (32) of Soonambupulipalayam and Asokan (40). — Staff Reporter
