Sikkim still cut off due to floods

Gangtok: Sikkim remained cut off from the rest of the country for the 15th day on Monday with incessant rain impeding the repairing of NH 31A, a sizable stretch of which was damaged in a landslip on August 27.

The authorities are worried as supply of essentials and fuel to the State has been affected. Chief Secretary N.D Chingapa held a meeting with the Border Roads Organisation officials and other department heads to find out ways to deal with the situation. — PTI
