BRIEFING: P.V. Subramanian, Security Commissioner-cum-Principal of the Railway Protection Force Training Centre, interacting with constable recruits in Tiruchi on Monday.
TIRUCHI: A nine-month-long training for a fresh batch of over 400 constable recruits, including women, for the Railway Protection Force and the Railway Protection Special Force, Southern Railway, started at the RPF Zonal Training Centre here on Monday. This is the 80th batch of recruits to undergo training at the Zonal Training Centre here. On completion, they will be posted in various railway divisions in Southern Railway. During the course of their indoor and outdoor training, they will be briefed about the RPF, their duties and responsibilities, protection of railway property and ensuring the safety and security of passengers. Classes will be conducted to enlighten the recruits on the Railway Act, the Railway Property Unlawful Possession Act, the Indian Evidence Act, important sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Arms Act, disaster management, railway-related crimes etc. P.V. Subramanian, Security Commissioner-cum- Principal, RPF Training Centre, Tiruchi, spoke.
