VELLORE: Nokia, the Finnish mobile phone company, has selected 90 candidates from Vellore district for the one-year apprenticeship training at its unit in Sriperumbudur during a campus interview conducted at the Dhanabagyam Krishnaswamy Mudaliar College for Women here on Monday. Vellore Collector Dharmendra Pratap Yadav handed over the appointment orders to the selected trainees on the college premises. During the apprenticeship period, the selected trainees would be paid a stipend of Rs.3, 050 a month. — Special Correspondent
