Tuticorin: The police arrested two persons at Alagesapuram near here on Monday on a charge of possessing counterfeit currencies with them. A police team took S. Antony and K. Mariappan into custody with the fake currency notes of Rs.100 (84 numbers) and Rs.500 (two numbers) denominations. The interrogation revealed that the accused printed the currency at Sivakasi.
