Kottayam: Pathanamthitta managed to squeeze out a three-run first innings lead over Thiruvananthapuram in the South Zone under-19 inter-district cricket tournament at the Medical College ground here on Tuesday.
Half-centuries from Philip (67), Jeevan (66) and Jibin Simon (57) enabled Pathanamthitta, overnight 84 for two, to take the vital first innings lead as the match ended in a draw. Pathanamthitta took two points for the first innings lead.
At the Nehru stadium, Kottayam took the first innings lead over Alappuzha as the match between the two sides ended in a draw. Ronson took five for 60 to bundle out Alappuzha for 122 runs. Kottayam secured two points from the drawn encounter.
