Lifer for two

Muzaffarnagar: A local court sentenced two persons to life imprisonment here on Tuesday for allegedly killing a student.

Convicting the two accused, Pramod and Ram Kumar, for killing a student Manoj, the Additional District Session Judge, C.K. Kulshrestha also imposed a fine of Rs 25000 on each of them.

According to prosecution case, Manoj was stabbed to death when he was going to school at Khadarwazi village in the district on July 27, 1999.

The police had registered a case against four people, including two juveniles, whose cases were later shifted to a juvenile court.
