Allegations trigger protests at meet

BANGALORE: There was high drama at the public colloquium organised by the Foundation for Biotechnology Awareness and Education on Tuesday with nearly 70 members of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha interrupting the session, demanding that the foundation president S. Shantaram justify his allegations about late M.D. Nanjundswamy, former president of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS). Mr. Shantaram had alleged that Prof. Nanjundswamy was funded from abroad in his campaigns against genetically modified crops.
