Alappuzha
ALAPPUZHA: The Alappuzha Additional Sessions Court on Wednesday sentenced six persons to rigorous life imprisonment in connection with the murder of an artist, Paul, on April 22, 2003. Bennett, Santosh, Shaji, Dolphi, Douglas and Rajesh were charged with the murder of Paul, a native of Pallithode in Cherthala. The case was that they had killed Paul following an argument. Apart from rigorous life imprisonment, Judge K. Sankaranunni ruled that each of the convicted would have to pay Rs.40,000 each to three witnesses and the family of the deceased.
