ANANTAPUR: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the Paritala Ravindra murder case on Wednesday informed the District and Sessions Court here that the process of interrogation of one of the accused, K. Ramamohan Reddy, who expressed his willingness to turn an approver, was in progress. Logistic supportRamamohan Reddy, A-9 in the murder case accused with the charges of acting as facilitator and providing logistic support to the alleged killers, was permitted to be interrogated by the CBI again by the High Court in July in a petition moved by the kin of the deceased Paritala Ravindra. Accordingly, the CBI has to interrogate Ramamohan Reddy in Cherlapalli prison, where he is lodged, and has to decide the merits of his willingness to turn an approver. The CBI has already argued in the court here that it would consider the A-9’s plea after a thorough examination and if it helped the prosecution. District Judge K. Gaddenna also clubbed the split case of P. Goverdhan Reddy, as he was at large for more than two years after he was included as an accused in the case, with the main case which consists 15 accused. Both the CBI counsel Surayanarayana and the accused told the Judge that they had no objections in framing charges, the key procedure before the commencement of trial in the case. All the 16 accused in the case The Judge adjourned the case to September 25.
