Journalists for action against policemen

HYDERABAD: Home Minister K. Jana Reddy has assured action against the Excise Department constables who resorted to lathicharge on mediapersons who were covering a dharna being staged by students on Wednesday. The Home Minister gave an assurance to this effect to a delegation of journalists which met him and complained about the `attack’ on media by the constables. Journalists also staged a dharna in front of the Excise Commissioner’s office. –Special Correspondent
